Mankind Pharma on Wednesday announced its foray into pet care segment with the launch of its pet food brand, PetStar Dog Food, the company said in press release.
Under PetStar, the company will sell dry food, treats, and gravy products. The food products will be manufactured in the UK as per the quality and safety standards of BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standards).
“Understanding that the pets have different body needs, we came up with the Mankind’s PetStar keeping in mind the requirements of the pets which is suitable for all breeds,” commented Rajeev Juneja, Managing Director & Vice Chairman, Mankind Pharma Limited.
The brand aims to build and support the pet care ecosystem by offering pet food, medicine, supplements, and grooming products, it said in the release.
Further, the brand said it looks to scale up to an annual turnover of Rs 500 crore in the next 5 years.
The company has launched its products in Jaipur and will launch in Delhi on 22nd December. It plans to sell its products in select counters on offline and select online platforms. It also aims to expand its reach in both channels.
