MS.GAURI NARGOLKAR<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Gauri Nargolkar was born and raised in Pune, India. An ardent dog lover, she has been involved with Great Danes since 1985 and registered her prefix \u201cDanehills\u201d in 1988. She has been handling dogs in the show ring since the age of 13 and has handled many of her dogs to top honours. Specializing in Great Danes, till date, Gauri has bred \/owned 46 Indian Champions, 3 American Champions (Co Bred with Ms Francette Lass, Lagarada Kennel \u2013 USA) and 1 Canadian Champion who finished her title at 6 \u00bd months of age. A puppy bred by her, Am Ch Lagarada Danehills Winds of Change was also Best Puppy Bitch and Reserve Winners Bitch at Great Dane Club of America\u2019s National Show in Phoenix, USA in 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danehills bred Great Danes have won All Breed Best in Shows 8 times and Best in Specialty Show 4 times with multiple Line-ups, Best Puppy and Best in Show BI awards. Danehills has won the Bhat Trophy for the Dane of the Year \u2013 Bred in India on four separate occasions. Gauri has also owned and bred Labrador Retrievers, GSDs, Boxers and Dobermans from some of the topmost bloodlines in the world and won multiple line ups with these breeds. Her home bred Labrador bitch, Ch Danehills Glorianna was Best in Show at the Labrador Retriever Club of India\u2019s 5th National Show under Mrs Margaret Litherland (UK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauri is a Life Member of the Kennel Club of India, founder Hon Secretary of the Great Dane Club of India, founder Committee member of the Labrador Retriever Club of India, life member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of India and Madras Canine Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauri Nargolkar has been a keen sportsperson competing in Tennis and Basketball at School and State level. She has a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, having graduated from Fergusson College, University of Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauri is the first woman specialist judge and the first Great Dane specialist judge to be licensed by the Kennel Club of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
